When to Promote Students
Student promotion is typically done:
At the end of the academic year
After final exam results are posted
Before the new academic year begins
Promotion Process
Step 1: Select Students
Review the list of students eligible for promotion. The system shows:
Student name and admission number
Current class/form
Target class (next form)
Overall performance summary
Step 2: Review Performance
Check each student's academic performance to determine eligibility:
Mean grade across all subjects
Attendance record
Any special considerations
Step 3: Select for Promotion
Use checkboxes to select students who should be promoted:
Select All - Promote all eligible students
Individual Selection - Choose specific students
Step 4: Confirm Promotion
Review your selections
Click Promote Selected Students
Confirm in the dialog box
Students are moved to the next form
Important
Promotion is a permanent action. Once students are promoted, their class assignment changes immediately. Make sure to review carefully before confirming.
