    Assignments Overview

    View and monitor assignments created by teachers across all classes. Track submission rates and ensure academic activities are on schedule.

    Assignment Management

    Both principals and teachers can create assignments. Teachers manage assignments for their subjects, while principals can create school-wide assignments and view all assignment activities.

    Viewing Assignments

    Accessing the Assignment Dashboard

    1. Navigate to Principal Dashboard
    2. Select Assignments from the sidebar
    3. Browse or filter assignments

    Filtering Options

    • By Class - View assignments for specific forms/classes
    • By Subject - Filter by subject
    • By Teacher - See assignments from a specific teacher
    • By Status - Draft, Published, Closed
    • By Due Date - Upcoming, Past due, or date range

    Assignment Status

    Draft

    Assignment created but not yet visible to students. Teacher is still editing.

    Published

    Assignment is live and visible to students. Submissions are being accepted.

    Closed

    Due date has passed. No more submissions accepted unless reopened.

    Assignment Details

    Information Displayed

    • Title - Assignment name/description
    • Subject - Related subject
    • Class - Target class(es)
    • Teacher - Who created it
    • Due Date - Submission deadline
    • Submission Count - How many students have submitted
    • Attachments - Any files attached by the teacher

    Submission Tracking

    Monitoring Progress

    For each assignment, you can view:

    • Total Students - Number of students in the target class
    • Submissions - Number of completed submissions
    • Pending - Students who haven't submitted
    • Late Submissions - Submissions after the due date
    • Graded - Submissions that have been graded

    Principal View Capabilities

    • • View all assignments across the school
    • • See submission statistics
    • • Create school-wide assignments
    • • Cannot grade teacher-created assignments
    • • Cannot edit assignments created by teachers

    Creating Principal Assignments

    As a principal, you can create assignments for:

    • School-wide announcements requiring acknowledgment
    • Form/document submissions from students
    • General tasks not specific to a subject

    Steps to Create

    1. Click Create Assignment
    2. Enter title and description
    3. Select target audience (all students, specific forms, specific classes)
    4. Set due date
    5. Choose submission type (file upload, text, or acknowledgment only)
    6. Publish when ready

    Late Submission Detection

    The system automatically flags late submissions:

    • Submissions after the due date are marked as "Late"
    • Teachers decide whether to accept late work
    • You can view late submission patterns by class or student
