Principal Access Level
As a principal, you have read-only access to all exam results in your school. Teachers upload and manage results; you can view, analyze, and generate reports.

Viewing Exam Results
Accessing Results
- Navigate to Principal Dashboard
- Select Exam Results from the sidebar
- Choose the term and year from the filters
- Select a specific class or view all classes
Results View Options
- Class View - See all students in a class with their scores
- Subject View - See performance in a specific subject across classes
- Student View - See individual student's results across all subjects
- Comparison View - Compare performance between classes or terms
Understanding the Results Table
The exam results table displays:
- Student Name - Full name of the student
- Admission Number - Unique student identifier
- Subject Scores - Individual marks for each subject
- Subject Grades - KNEC grade for each subject
- Total Points - Sum of all subject points
- Mean Grade - Average grade across all subjects
- Position - Class ranking based on total points
Filtering Results
- • By Term: Term 1, Term 2, Term 3
- • By Year: Select academic year
- • By Form: Form 1, Form 2, Form 3, Form 4
- • By Class: Specific class stream (e.g., 2A, 2B)
- • By Subject: Filter to see only specific subject results
- • By Grade: Show only students with specific grade ranges
Result Status
Exam results have two visibility states:
Posted (Published)
Results are visible to students in the mobile app. The class teacher has marked the results as final and published them.
Unposted (Draft)
Results are uploaded but not yet visible to students. Teachers may still be making corrections or waiting for verification.

Class Performance Indicators
- Class Mean - Average points for the class
- Highest Score - Top performer in the class
- Lowest Score - Lowest performer (for intervention)
- Pass Rate - Percentage of students with C- or above
- Grade Distribution - Count of students in each grade bracket
Subject Performance
- Subject Mean - Average score across all students
- Subject Difficulty Index - Based on overall performance
- Comparison to School Average - How the class compares

Role Permissions
Principal vs Teacher Access
- Principals (You):
- • View all results across all classes
- • Generate and export reports
- • View analytics and trends
- • Cannot edit or delete results
- Teachers:
- • Upload and edit their own subject results
- • Class teachers can post/unpost results
- • Subject teachers cannot post (only upload)

- Review results promptly after teachers upload them
- Identify struggling students early for intervention
- Compare term-over-term trends to measure progress
- Share aggregated data with teachers for improvement planning
